Conveying more than any textbook ever has, "Bodies: the Exhibition" provides a truly unique look at the human skeletal, muscular, respiratory, and circulatory systems. Real human bodies have been meticulously dissected and preserved through an innovative new process allowing for an up-close look at the beauty and complexity of our organs and internal systems. "Bodies" also uses more than 260 partial specimens and organs to demonstrate the differences a healthy, active lifestyle can make. These authentic specimens show the effects of over-eating and how a lack of exercise can harm the body. A healthy lung is displayed next to a black lung, ravaged by smoking—a vivid comparison more powerful than any verbal or written warning.
